life in war

On Monday morning as I was driving to work, I heard this story on NPR (Morning Edition). If I were you I would click the "listen" button from the the story link. I just think it's more effective when you hear his voice. I actually got tears in my eyes...but don't worry, most people won't. I just felt so sad about what this war has done to so many people and countries. It's a reporter's reflection on Iraq right after the invasion....compared to now. Give it a listen.

Tonight is the Bob Dylan concert. Did I mention SEVENTH ROW?? :-) I haven't even blogged about last week's events yet...good grief, I'm behind!!!!!!

woo hoo

only 40 days until......

BOB

Hopefully I'll get some good tickets. Kinda strange...it will be almost exactly 3 years since the first time I saw him, in the same location. Not only that, in 2004 I saw the Drive-By Truckers a few days prior to Bob....this year I will see DBT less than a week before Bob (on my birthday). Cool.

Bob

I went to the Sugar Maple Traditional Music Festival in Madison this past weekend. I camped. It was fun. It stormed. I bought two CDs. I have great stories. I will post about that later...I haven't even had a chance to look at my pix yet...but here are some pix from Jeff.

This weekend I am going to see Gillian Welch...also for a later post.

I really want to bid on this....but for now the following picture just makes me happy so I had to share it....

I need to see Bob this calendar year....I wonder if I can make that happen somehow?
